Information Services
During this year, the CARILEC Secretariat will maintain contact with and provide information to members through the following four (4) major publications in addition to the Programme Catalogue:
Annual Progress & Financial Report
This document is intended to provide a detailed progress and financial report on activities implemented during the preceding year. It will contain analyses of performance supported by appropriate statistics on training and conferences, hurricane management, utility surveys, technical studies and special projects.
Membership Directory
The membership directory provides a summary of the basic statistics of CARILEC's member utilities. The Secretariat endeavours to publish this Booklet every two years.
AGLOW
This magazine was created to facilitate communication between members and the secretariat. Its main focus is to document the outstanding undertakings of the secretariat and its membership on an annual basis. As such it will feature conference and training highlights, outstanding conference papers aimed at a general audience, secretariat accomplishments, and member news. The publication offers opportunities for members to showcase their companies products and services.
Bi-annual Industry Journal
CARILEC published the long awaited Industry Journal during the second half of the year 2006. This was a milestone achievement and CARILEC is committed to continuing this effort and as a result, will be issuing two publications each year there after. As originally stated, the publication of an Industry Journal will present a medium for utility practitioners to disseminate information on developments and emerging technological trends within the industry. Target dates for Industry Journal issues are January and July of each year.
Monthly Electronic-Letter
The Secretariat will continue to make every effort to provide members with an update on the status of their programme of activities, initiatives being implemented by CARILEC and members news. The newsletter is posted on our website www.carelec.org. As such, it is readily available to all the employees of our members. To this end, members are encouraged to visit our website and submit updates on their activities to the Business Development Department.
